The most recent venture she conceptualized is Latinarrific — an inspirational, transformational platform to help the American Latina be her best bi-cultural self. The platform officially launched on September 15, 2016 as part of Hispanic Heritage Month. Prior to Latinarrific, she acquired a streaming media technology company in 2004 and established CBC.TV, an internet television venture, and the parent company of Mensaje Media. She recognized early the confluence of a growing Hispanic community in the U.S., an underserved market of Latina programming, the importance of minority marketing, a group representing over 1.3 trillion dollars’ worth of buying power.

Hollywood, FL – “Bringing Cinema and Culture To Our Community”. The Hollywood Florida Film Festival is back for a second time. It’s bigger and better and the line-up never looked so good.
Los Angeles filmmaker, Minh Collins and Simona Loredana Muresan have been working hard all year after the birth of the festival last year. The team is orchestrating 5 full days of amazing films, selected from over 120 submissions from over 40 countries, live performances, the best parties in the industry (for which Minh is so graciously known), many beautiful venues in Downtown Hollywood, and an array of international distinguished guests. The world is casting a good glance at Hollywood, Florida as an emerging stage for cinema, and where The Hollywood Florida Film Festival is the anchor.
Opening night will be dedicated to the documentary, “The Bill Murray Experience” with director Sadie Katz in attendance from Los Angeles. The inexplicable Bill Murray has been invited to attend all 5 nights. Additionally, Mary Mathis, the Founder of Latinariffic, a transformational entertainment movement to empower the American Latina, will host a Latin night featuring 10 short films with women as the heroines of their own stories, produced by the Mexican-born renowned filmmaker, Yovanka Sanchez. Celebrities, Latin food and wine, storytelling, salsa, bachata and merengue dancing, and live entertainment will ensure this will be both an intimate and a high-energy event.
Collins, a filmmaker with a true grass roots beginning in the entertainment industry, will be welcoming many local Florida filmmakers along with submissions from Florida State University student filmmakers. Muresan is originally from Romania and is a leading executive in prime commercial real estate developments with H & M. She is known as a rapidly rising star in the world of real estate moguls.
Minh Collins is known for a number of notable projects including the dark-romantic comedy “Hit List” (starring Joey Lawrence, Shirly Brener, Andrea Evans, and Chris Owen), “Bottom Feeders” (winner of the Aloha Accolade Award for Excellence in Filmmaking at the 2009 Honolulu International Film Festival), the popular comedy short “Gratuity”, History Channel’s “Dark Art of Interrogation”, as well as “Heroes Under Fire”, and “Man of a Thousand Faces”. Minh has also produced many high-end commercials.
The Hollywood Florida Film Festival will be taking place February 8th-12th, 2017. Screenings and festivities will be held at Atelier3, Social Room, BarYtono Cafe, and Sasa Italian Cafe will be the hospitality suite to film. Filmmaker Minh Collins and a team of filmmakers and artists dedicated to bringing quality films to the
world continue the legacy of Joseph Young’s early pioneer vision with the launch of the Hollywood Florida
Film Festival on February 10, 2016.
Collins and the organizers of the Hollywood Florida Film Festival are leveling up the intention of this
festival to make a greater impact on more than just the film industry. “There’s a voice through the medium of
cinéma as in one of the documentaries being screened at the festival, “Trial by Fire”, which addresses the
crippling disease known as CRPS. Millions are suffering from it and there’s no cure. This festival will bring
awareness to the community of “Hollywood by the Sea” in hopes of making a difference,” Collins expressed.
