Hollywood Florida Film Festival was founded by a group of individuals with a variety of backgrounds and all with a strong passion for the arts. This festival is formed with the main objective of uniting the community of Hollywood Florida through the magical medium of cinema. Joseph Young founded the city of Hollywood Florida in 1920. His dream vision was to create a place that is similar to the famous “Hollywood” in Los Angeles. Mr. Young bought thousands of acres of land and named the new town “Hollywood by the Sea.” Of course that dream never materialized and the new film community never took hold on the east coast of Florida.
Until now… “If you build it, they will come.” We the organizers of the Hollywood Florida Film Festival (HFFF) are passionate about films and we will continue the legacy of Joseph Young’s early pioneer vision. The aim is to bring the visual arts of movies from around the globe to our beautiful community. This is a small step towards our ultimate goal of building studios along with the infrastructures where filmmakers can thrive. “Rome wasn’t built in one day” and we have a long ways to go to achieve our objectives, but this is one tiny step towards the vision of cinema for the city of Hollywood by the Sea.
We are currently seeking additional sponsorship so if you have an interest and want to be part of the festivities please contact us. Email: email@example.com or direct line (310) 650-1753.

Hollywood Florida Film Festival is very excited to announce that Michael Chasin will be joining our team and will be coordinating seminars as well as participate on the screenwriter’s panel during the festival. Michael is a South Florida screenwriter and award winning filmmaker (including two Best Screenplay awards) with experience ranging from writing, directing, editing, and producing to screenplay consulting.
Michael has also been a film festival founder and Best Screenplay competition judge. Michael’s passion for film has returned him to the classroom where he has led classes on screenwriting and film finance, marketing, and distribution at the International Academy of Film and Television, where he currently blogs for their Los Angeles campus.
In addition to being a film school graduate, Michael holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. In his spare time, Michael reads widely, severely neglects his lawn (but his neighbors still love him), and exercises just enough to delude himself that he is still in black belt shape.
Hollywood Florida Film Festival is pleased to announce that Michael Chasin will be joining our team and will be coordinating seminars during the five days of the festival. Michael is a seasoned writer and will also be on a panel to speak about writing screenplays.
We are proud to have Andrea Evans on our Celebrity Grand Jury! Andrea will be attending our festival in February and will be one of the judge on our jury panel for best festival film. We are honored to have such a distinguished star to coming to our event! #HFFFStarPower #BestFilmFest
